Big News Takes Flight: Nonstop Routes Announced for Gulf Shores Airport!

As someone who lives, works, and plays here on the Gulf Coast, I can tell you firsthand—this is a big deal.

Starting in May 2025, Gulf Shores International Airport will officially welcome its first-ever commercial air service, thanks to Allegiant Airlines. The carrier has announced six new nonstop routes connecting Gulf Shores to key cities across the country:

  • Knoxville, TN (TYS) – service begins May 21, 2025
  • Cincinnati, OH (CVG) – service begins May 22, 2025
