Gulf Shores Gears Up for an Unforgettable Fourth of July
As America celebrates its 250th birthday, Gulf Shores is preparing for one of its most anticipated Independence Day weekends yet. With a blend of coastal charm, community pride, and patriotic celebration, this year’s Fourth of July offers both residents and visitors a chance to experience the best of the Alabama Gulf Coast.

Fireworks Over the Gulf
The City of Gulf Shores will host its annual Independence Day fireworks show on July 4 at 9:00 p.m. The display will be launched from the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier, creating a stunning coastal skyline of light and color over the water.
For the best experience, spectators are encouraged to view the show from Gulf State Park or the eastern section of Gulf Shores Public Beach, both offering wide-open views of the fireworks over the Gulf.
Fireworks Viewing Information & Pier Schedule
Guests planning to attend from Gulf State Park should plan ahead for parking and access changes throughout the day. Recommended parking areas include Lake Shelby and the Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion.
To ensure safety during setup and the event, the Gulf State Park Pier will follow a modified schedule:
July 4
- 8:00 a.m. – Pier closes to the public for fireworks preparation
- 12:00 p.m. – Limited public access resumes (entry allowed north of the launch area)
- 8:30 p.m. – Pier and restaurant close for safety operations
- 9:00 p.m. – Fireworks begin
July 5
- 6:00 a.m. – Pier reopens to the public
