“We wanted to preserve the whole character and beauty of that location.”
Improved Access to Waterways
With 69 truck-and-trailer parking spots and 26 additional passenger vehicle spaces, the facility makes exploring the Bon Secour River and Mobile Bay more convenient than ever. Whether you're casting a line, paddling out, or cruising with friends, this new access point is a dream come true.
Nearby resident Vandale Dean shared his excitement:
“We’re going to come out and do some of the cruises up and down the Bon Secour, up towards Weeks Bay and back over towards Aquilla’s and Mike’s Seafood.”
A Community Investment
Baldwin County purchased the property for $2 million in 2021 and secured a $4.8 million GOMESA grant in 2023 to bring this project to life. The Launch at CR 6 is a great example of local investment creating lasting benefits for the community and enhancing our coastal lifestyle.
